Abstract

Rhesus incompatibility is a phenomenon that occurs when there is a difference in rhesus type between a mother with a negative rhesus and a fetus with a positive rhesus. Rhesus incompatibility can cause Hemolytic Disease of the Newborn, which includes various blood disorders in infants and may result in death. The percentage of individuals with a negative rhesus type in Indonesia is only 1% of the total population, making it classified as a rare blood type. Understanding one's rhesus type is crucial to prevent adverse outcomes in the event of medical complications that require blood transfusions. The limited discussion on rhesus incompatibility in the media is one of the contributing factors to the lack of awareness among individuals with a negative rhesus type regarding the risks associated with rhesus incompatibility in pregnancy. This knowledge is essential before planning a pregnancy to prevent health issues in newborns. Based on this issue, there is a need for the informational media on rhesus incompatibility in pregnancy. The goal is to educate women with a negative rhesus type in preparing for pregnancy and preventing the adverse effects of rhesus incompatibility. The design method used is the Design Thinking approach, which includes the stages of Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, and Testing. The final outcome is an informational mobile website for rhesus incompatibility in pregnancy.
