Abstract

Darts Indonesia is a non-formal art school that covers four arts fields, such as music, dance, fine arts and theater. Darts is located in South City Square, Pondok Cabe Udik, South Tangerang City and was founded by Dian Didaktika Institution. The background to the founding of Darts is to develop art in creating a renewable flow and style in music, dancing and art in order to develop the creativity and new experiences for children, so they can choose different interests. These factors make Darts have huge potential and innovation that is different from other non-formal art schools. However, until now, there has been no adequate learning media reference to provide basic learning material regarding the elements and principles of arts for children as a basic foundation before creating art works. Darts students and teachers need complementary media that can provide information regarding the basic knowledge of fine arts, to focused in accordance with the vision and mission. This design can be useful for students and teachers at Darts in providing education for children and developing their potential, as well as developing the child's taste and visual sensitivity. Therefore, this design aims to provide a solution in the form of a learning activity book for children and teachers. This design uses qualitative methods, namely interviews, Focus Group Discussions, observation, existing studies and reference studies. The data that has been obtained, is processed using the five-phase design model according to Robin Landa (2018), namely Research, Analysis, Concept, Design, and Implementation. It is hoped that this design can be useful for Darts Indonesia, teachers and students in providing education for children through learning media that is directed and centered on the same reference.
