One medium for conveying these images is moving images. In 2025, moving images dominate global data traffic, accounting for 53.72% data traffic. Therefore, it is important to be able to examine more deeply what is actually seen in the images scattered throughout everyday life. The study of these images will be closely related to the terminology of visual culture. This article will discuss the definition and approach of visual culture as a strategy for viewing moving images through a review and study of literature on related themes. The findings demonstrate a connection between moving images and visual culture, forming a connected cycle of processes that express everyday life through visible and invisible cultural aspects. This study has scientific implications in the form of offering a range of approaches that can be used to view moving images from a visual culture perspective.
2026-04-10T00:00:00+00:00 ##submission.copyrightStatement## https://proceeding.umn.ac.id/index.php/FRAGMENT/article/view/1167 Analisis Regulasi Sensor Terhadap Distribusi Film Impor Di Malaysia: Studi Kasus Film Siksa Kubur 2026-04-10T12:55:23+00:00 Alessandro A-Thariq [email protected] Zefanya Immanuel [email protected] Alegra Lakeisha [email protected] Billy Febrian [email protected] Petrus Damiami Sitepu [email protected]
Cross-border distribution broadens a film’s reach but often collides with censorship regimes, cultural norms, and legal frameworks. In the short film As the Wind Blows, intellectual montage is used to create dramatic irony in Scene 12 and Scene 13 (A, B, C). In these scenes, Abyan listens to a voice note from his mother while recalling happy moments with her, although in reality she has already left him.
