The UI/UX Design of An Application for NonPharmacological Therapy to Manage Dysmenorrhea
Abstract
Dysmenorrhea is a common condition affecting 64,52% of women in Indonesia, particularly those in metropolitan areas like Jakarta. It can disrupt daily activities and lower quality of life, with long term implications for fertility. While NSAIDs are widely used for pain relief, their prolonged use poses health risks. Contributing factors, such as early menarche, fast food consumption, and sedentary lifestyles increase dysmenorrhea prevalence. This study applies qualitative and quantitative methods within the Design Thinking framework to develop an interactive mobile application for women aged 18-25. The application provides nonpharmacological therapy options, offering a sustainable and natural approach to managing menstrual pain without adverse side effects.
